– August 8, 2019: Government announced they would use Unified financing and started a 4-month public consultation about what should be in the plan.

Insurance companies, medical professionals and the opposition spoke against the Unified scheme.

– September 2019: Patients 1st was started by medical professionals to help more people understand the issues. Hundreds joined the movement and signed a petition for more time.

– Dec 5, 2019: Health Minister Kim Wilson denied the petition of 7,000+ requests to extend the consultation and reconsider Unified financing.

-December 8, 2019 Government closed Public Consultation.

However @PatientsFirstBermudaGroup members continue to suggest more great alternative solutions.

Now – the petition remains open for our collective voice to grow stronger and louder. Currently just shy of 10,000.
