Key Concepts – Unified vs. Universal
Government has used these words as if they are the same thing – they’re NOT.
Universal is about COVERAGE – everyone has access to good basic healthcare – we all want that.

Unified is about MONEY – unified financing is a way to pay for health care. This is what our government wants and 8,000 people who’ve signed a petition say NO! Not until there is a clear plan for how it will be managed.

Unified means that everyone pays into the same pot of money, managed by a government-sanctioned monopoly, and everyone has their basic health care covered.

This requires taxes to support it because not enough money goes in, to cover all the payouts. Other larger countries do it because their income tax supports it.
Don’t let the government confuse you more – Universal is good, UNIFIED is what government is forcing on us and we didn’t get a say.
